Re: Best rap albums of 2012
couldn't hurt. Some days this place feels like "I Wish I Were In T.R.O.Y." I'm as guilty as anyone, but threads on rappers lesser discussed in the world of are generally a good thing.blastmaster wrote:Do I need to make a Dusty McFly thread? Havent seen him mentioned anywhere. "I'm Out Here" rivals "60 Racks" as best jamm of 2012...

Totally forgot. Mach Five is a cool dude group of rappers that the PF has no record of too. One of the major reasons I have slowed way down in contributing here is the homogeneity of this joint.drizzle wrote:what we really need is an Outfit thread

You're no longer relevant. The streets don't want you to listen anymore.

As long as you are here to bump 4 year old threads with videos that no one cares about, My Two Cents will march forward.Employee wrote:You're no longer relevant. The streets don't want you to listen anymore.

We do indeed need more threads for obscure/emerging peoples.

LOL @ you being sad because I raped your essence, peeled the "M2C" crown off of your balding skull, and now wear it like a fucking Mayan conquistador while you stay forever alone refreshing Thizzler On The Roof's front page.blastmaster wrote:As long as you are here to bump 4 year old threads with videos that no one cares about, My Two Cents will march forward.Employee wrote:You're no longer relevant. Several posters have suggested this and never follow through. There are a bunch of threads that can be made, but people don't want to get MODDED before the pubic hair even settles on their thread.drizzle wrote:We do indeed need more threads for obscure/emerging peoples.

Only the threads with obvious spam get modded, and even so most often they get moved to the self promo thread.

So, anyway... The Project Pat and Nasty Mane album didn't get much coverage anywhere. Lots of jammz.

Speaking of obscure, the G.O.O.D. Music record would've at least got a vote if it didn't leak out one single at a time.

The albums I keep returning to are Skelethon, ANX, and R.A.P. Music.
Kendrick Lamar's GKMC, Schoolboy Q, C4C and that Homeboy Sandman album are all highly enjoyable, but a notch below those first three for me.
Billy Woods has been on the list for a minute.

I can't be the only one who was severely disappointed by Mugshot Music... Pre-Loaded and everything else AG has done in recent years were far superior.

Re: Best rap albums of 2012
if you make shitty music, and don't contribute to the forum beyond making threads like 'yo check out this shitty music i made' you got nobody to blame but yourself

Word, props to you for putting me on to Tree through SB and pointing out some interesting shit about his style that I'd been having trouble defining. I definitely co-opted what you said about his seemingly random chops and phrases coming together in those eureka moments.
