Re: Official Breaking Bad Season 5 Thread.
was hoping skyler would keep playing confused with hank at the diner for a little bit and when he busted out the recorder that she would G up and tell him she doesn't legally have to testify against her husband in a real evil way. she was good in the ep.
Re: Official Breaking Bad Season 5 Thread.
anyone else think marie was wired up during that bedroom talk with Skyler? she obviously wasn't, but with how she was asking tons of questions before Skyler could respond (which she really didn't, which was smart) it was as if she had a script from Hank to gather intel

Re: Official Breaking Bad Season 5 Thread.
Marie came into the bedroom thinking Skylar was an unwitting victim to Walt's villainy and instead Skyler defacto admitted to being a passive accomplice in pretty much everything including the attempt on Hank's life. There was nothing strategic or smart about any of this, it's a scene of a family literally being torn apart moment by momentsamdoom wrote:she was asking tons of questions before Skyler could respond (which she really didn't, which was smart)

The past two sunday nights my sleep has been riddled with anxiety dreams, I realize now that it is because of this show. they have been doing a fantastic job building the sense of dread and claustrophobia.
My finger nails are already nubs. They are fucked bro.

Re: Official Breaking Bad Season 5 Thread.
yea last night in particular was a phenomenal exercise in building tension. gotta give them credit on restraint of not showing Declan getting shot up - a moment of action would've been a quickie crowd pleaser but it would've defused much of the tension that the episode built up to that point. .

Re: Official Breaking Bad Season 5 Thread.
I am starting to get the feeling that the whole season isnt going to let up at all. it is our payback for the joy we took in the crimes of walt. I for one am stoked about that possibility.
Re: Official Breaking Bad Season 5 Thread.
yeah. also- cheers to gilligan et al for pushing this all full throttle. they're clearly not letting anything slow down in these final episodes. most shows would draw out the tension to span multiple episodes but they're pushing things to make it all steamroll into the finale.

Dude. Yep. I been watching the show feeling like Walt's burdens have been my deepest secrets and anxieties. It's fucked up how effective this show's impending sense of dread has been lately.ALASKA wrote:The past two sunday nights my sleep has been riddled with anxiety dreams, I realize now that it is because of this show. they have been doing a fantastic job building the sense of dread and claustrophobia.

Nah. They go to this well with Jesse all the time. Not thinking he's gonna flip or off himself, tbh (although I'd like it if they went there with either of these things)

I hope Jesse wins. He has become the moral compass. I hope Walt sacrifices himself somehow and Jesse ends up with the money and a clear conscience.

My bet: Jesse flips. Not at first. But he finds out at least one of the major lies Walt has told him. And he flips.

Man. I'm becoming dangerously obsessed here.
I have a scenario in my head where Jesse puts enough shit together in his head to make Hank look complicit in this shit.

1. yeah, i hear that. I thought the second half of that link was bullshit. Except the reservoir dogs nod....that one almost made my head explode.drizzle wrote:The thing with blog posts like this is that they start out with reasonable observations (the sandwich crusts) but then rapidly descend into idiotic myopic conjecture that grasps at anything that vaguely looks like a straw. There's so much great layered shit in this show, and motherfuckers miss most of it while looking for clues in the way Walt tucks his shirt. Just yesterday I was arguing with some dude who though the yellow color of the kid's remote control car was foreshadowing somehow related to Walt cooking in a yellow hazmat suit - meanwhile he completely missed the callback to the scene with Marie running over the kid's car in S2.
2. lol, I caught the kid's toy car thing too.
