Re: "How To Drake It In America"
a great album.
just not enough rap for me. great vocals, great content, great new flows, great controversial and subtle yet slick lyrics.
not quite enough emotional diversity in the production, even though the music is cutting edge 2013 major label hip hop, for sure.
Drake is a phenomenon. This music is powerful and confident and will carve out a place in the lives of millions. More will hate. Drake will grow.
I want to hear that remix.

The Live (Jimmy Fallon) Version of Too Much bodies everything on the album.
Kid is dope but can't make a proper LP to save his life.
I knew this going in but I'm still surprised at how weak this is.

for real, if you are so dumb that you can see "this album leaked" on a forum that doesn't permit download links and can't find a link on twitter, you don't deserve said leak. shameful.peanut butter wrote:I have zero interest in hearing the album, and found an active link to download it within one minute through entering the artist's name, the album title and the file type i wanted to download into a popular search engine. Probably about the same amount of time it took for some of you to come into this thread and beg for it.

Listening to this wonderful album is like having your ears massaged by the lubed hooves of Bambi while sitting on a sybian. The best way to really experience this album is to close your eyes and imagine pink rainbows sprouting from the nostrils of unicorns, intertwining and bending, until they form a vortex of twinkling stars caressing your soul. Alternatively its a great album to listen to when you do yoga or prepare dried fruits. Or maybe just run a hot bubblebath with cherry-flavored foam and light some pink candles.
Drake is like the modern Judith Butler. This is Herstory in it's most unadultered essence. Lean and unshaven. Androgynous and gender-ambigious: The blueprint for dissolving heteronormativity in music and evolving to post-rap unisex nirvana.

Resolved Question
Does Biggie Smalls hate HipHop???
"Shoulda been a cop, Fukc Hiphop"
I've been wondering what he meant by this.
Additional Details
Rap sucks, HipHop is better

Naw, he likes hip hop and rap. He was just referring to if he hadn't started rapping he would've been a cop.
So he's cursing it, not that he doesn't like it, just for the sake of it.

Digging the production on this album but Drake is definitely a walking cloud of koala farts and B&BW body mist.
Re: "How To Drake It In America"
some filler. i like more of it than i dislike
'worst behavior' is terrible. ppl hate when drake spits those soft rhymes for the ladies but this is your other option

Re: "How To Drake It In America"
i can't really remember all the songs b/c i only listened to it once. the singles / songs that leaked are some of the best on the album tho. nothing that blew my mind but drizzy did create an hour of pure moods tbh

Re: "How To Drake It In America"
i really just want him to rap more.
he's a great songwriter though, and came up with a few new audio structures for his butter smooth jams.
album is a great piece of work... but doesn't fully satisfy everything i want from the homie. oh well, it's still gonna blow
Drizzy

Re: "How To Drake It In America"
just gave it a front to back listen.
i liked it a lot. Drake is the most consistently dope commercial rapper out there.
plus no one mentioned he only has 1 rapping guest on the whole thing? (unless you count the bonus cut with 2chainz and big sean). that's unheard of these days, a bold move imo.
i like that "from time" track more than i think i should...must be that female singer. who is that?

Re: "How To Drake It In America"
He does a good job on "From Time". And I fux with "Terrible Behavior". To quote Piff when his first major album came out: his album is still not an album you want to listen to around your homeboys.

Re: "How To Drake It In America"
jay's backhanded compliments to dame, cam & beans? smh
the only way he can shout them out as success stories is if he takes credit (and attempts to discredit beans by mentioning him being in jail at the same time)
