Yelawolf - "Catfish Billy" (2nd Verse, though I would listen to the whole song)



Pre-Control verse, Pre-Rap God verse, catching wreck just to do it. Plus he sounds like he was high as fuck on a psychedelic when he penned that.

If any of his reps are reading, I don't mean to imply that your artist is on drugs, it just sounds like he was slapped up high on an illegal narcotic when he wrote this. Which is dope.

it's gotta be Mike's verse on job well done.. fiercest on the album. they shoulda just played that verse twice instead of letting el-p rap on it.

Both are definite candidates, though I think the Cam verse is pretty much in a league of its own. That's easily my favorite verse of the year, and there have been some great ones.

Roc Marciano - Shower Posse (I think it's his 2nd verse, the 3rd on the track, the one in which he says "live celestial till the skeletal")
el-p - Chirstmas Fuckin Miracle
Open Mike Eagle - Watermelon (1st verse)
