yessss
looks great
apparently von trier's cut was like 4 hours, had to give up control to the studio to edit it down to a better size, hopefully it doesn't suffer from it

it's not about the length of the movie tommy, it's about the motion of the plot and the girth of the broached themes

No. The director's cut is 5½ hours, the theatrical version will be 4 hours.
WP on Christmas Day in Copenhagen. I might go but it's also my birthday and I'm not sure if I want to spend it with Lars

i really wanted this to be amazing... but simply it doesn't look that great, to be brutally honest.
maybe it's just a bad trailer, or maybe it's focusing on the wrong things to titillate... but just because it's called 'Nymphomaniac' and it's by Lars Von Trier doesn't guarantee it's amazing.
i'll obviously watch it... but honestly, this trailer underwhelmed me both times i watched it

I really enjoyed this film btw. Lots and lots of very memorable scenes. The convos between Gainsbourg and Skarsgaard were a bit hit or miss though.
You can tell that the cut the film esp in the start, but 4 hours is fine for a great experience @ the movies.
Its probably the best film of 2013.

Wrong.
I hope I'm wrong.
I'm pretty easy to please, but I honestly was less interested in seeing this movie after watching the trailer... and that RARELY happens to me.
Even though you almost are bi-polar to me with your friendship, I generally respect your intelligence
Will watch, obviously. I make pornography

Just remember that it's not about polyamore-people having awesome sex. At all.
But if you watch with an open mind you might like it.
It's a pretty nasty film in many ways, though there are some moments of redemption. Sort of.

Full cut should be out next month. I'd wait for that. Want to watch the whole thing myself but can't see it happening anytime soon.

Kinda weird that we're two guys who have watched the film considering how much we talked about his previous ones. And this one is even about sex!

Found Volume I a lot funnier, but I enjoyed both films, tbh
Took a while for me to realise Ronnie O' Sullivan looking dude was the older version of Shia's character.
