NFL Off-season Thread

Re: NFL Off-season Thread
How about we talk how the Colts gave up huge leads, early every game late in the season.
Or I can ask Ramen and Juan who you're looking at in the draft... Reggie would never take Jonathan Football but I'd be down fwiw.

Re: NFL Off-season Thread
Part off the Colts early game struggles were due to the coaching staff's stubbornness/insistence on running the ball too much early (especially w/ Trent Richardson), part of it was not having Dwayne Allen (a punishing run blocker at tight end) and Reggie Wayne (an excellent run blocker himself), part of it was having a weak front 7 that couldn't get the defense off the field. The front 7 got a nice upgrade w/ the additions of Arthur Jones & D'Qwell and the other problems will be helped w/ returning injured players like Wayne, Allen, Ballard, & Bradshaw.

Re: NFL Off-season Thread
Browner can be pretty stiff and get lost in coverage from time to time, but he does have a knack for creating turnovers. That said, the Seahawks gave his position to Byron Maxwell when both Browner and Thurmond got suspended and saw an immediate improvement. I guess I'm not saying he's not good, but I would almost like him more if he was asked to play SS like Chancellor instead of on the outside. Sure he'll be fine wherever though.

Re: NFL Off-season Thread
Dude's eyes have been bloodshot for every interview I've seen him do over the last several years. He said last year he hadn't had a drink in 15 years, even if he didn't drink for a while, I doubt he ever really kicked the pills. I remember a few years back he was emphatic about how rehab had changed him, enough that suspected absuse stories stopped appearing locally, but his appearance and behavior always told me otherwise.

there is too much time in between the combine, pro days, and the actual draft.
let's do the damn thing already.

Re: NFL Off-season Thread
agreed but the way it's set up allows it to be football season all year, which is cool for those of us who don't get to experience winning & resort to FA signings for excitement ... but i hate waiting until May for the draftVideoKilledThe wrote:there is too much time in between the combine, pro days, and the actual draft.

To make it worse, once the draft comes, they are spreading it out even further so the first day will be only the first round

Any hopes for the draft? I feel like the steel are falling apart. That epic draft they had a couple years ago? Not that many survivors

So the Raiders are going to pay Schauba Ranks $10M+?
I wonder how much Vick would've cost.
