Briefly: Last year we learned a new Beverly Hills Cop was part of Jerry Bruckheimer's new production deal at Paramount Pictures, which seemed to indicate that the film from Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol scribes Josh Appelbaum & Andre Nemec would be on the fast track. Brett Ratner is still back to direct the film after being attached to the project for years while it went nowhere, and now Deadline reports Paramount has set a March 25th, 2016 release date. What's interesting is that this project is being called a reboot, and yet, Eddie Murphy is still starring in the film. Are we looking at a story that will bring Axel Foley's son into the mix like the failed TV pilot (which inspired film interest again) attempted to? We'll see.

beverly hills cop, the high water mark of eighties decadence & cop fuckery, you must be old as dirt as bender.
seeing as how robocop (another eighties staple) crashed and burned i doubt bhc will fare any better, but it would be good to see eddy murphy on the big screen again.
I really hope Hollywood has learned from the huge successes that where Total Recall and Robocop remakes and make this PG13. I know you have all those 15 year old boys that just cant wait to see Eddie on the big screen.
