Re: 3-6 Mafia is back
wish I was home where I could bump this in the damn car. What I've heard so far is Buck as hell. I still can't get over why Paul put Yelawolf on "Go Hard" instead of Lil Wyte. Was cool seeing Point Blank surface on Body Parts 6 but a couple of those other verses were weak.

finally
Re: 3-6 Mafia is back
looks like they should be called Da Mafia 3 now. RIP Lord, Boo gone, it's just Paul, Crunchy and Koop. Paul should just add Wyte and Frayser, maybe Pat, too.
as long as he doesn't add those other guests he had on the mixtape.
anyhow, if anyone cares, Boo and La Chat dropped an album together. it's on Spotify.

personally, i find La Chat a more interesting rapper than Boo, but really don't listen to much of either their works.
Re: 3-6 Mafia is back
Da Mafia 6ix "Lock'm N Da Trunk v.2" ft. DJ Zirk
interesting use of samples; Triggerman and Ike's Mood up in there.
Re: 3-6 Mafia is back
today i listened to the joint album they did with ICP so you don't have to.
upon first listen, i thought DJ Paul (and TWhy) did all the beats, but wikipedia and a picture of the CD insert liner notes says otherwise.
most of the songs feel like they all share the same style of production, hence that thought.
all the crazy bass this album has (the reddeming factor imo) sounds mastered the same throughout.
you could probably make a five minute track solely out of all the times "mafia six" or "icp" is shouted by group members on this album.
that shit gets old real quick.
the album starts off rough and loose in themes, DM6 spits some violent stuff then ICP spits corny violent stuff. later on in the album, the more it sounds like a group effort.
there's a somewhat uncredited rapper named Young Wicked that shows up throughout the album, and pretty much outraps everybody else on every track he appears on.
at first I thought it was Rittz rapping. Young Wicked is basically the Rittz Your Old Droog.
the beats are crazy and there aren't any slow tracks. worth checking for blasting some heavy bass. the lyrics and themes are beyond forgettable.
