every month i'm going to pick 3 beats and have a poll for a beat of the month...i'll start a sticky thread and feature one beat a month in there. just something to give some extra shine to some of the doper music floating around this board. i'll keep voting open till nov 1st.

Kaeo, I'm not a big fan of your style, and this did not do alot to change my mind. I just don't prefer a beat that sounds mostly electronic unless it's got somebody to hold my attention over it (i.e. Rob Sonic). Your progressions are lovely. And the guitar is pretty sick.

Equilabrium, this shit is heat, and while I don't like the man's voice, Intuition's verses definitely add some flavor to the beat. The subtle changes throughout are nice. I thought the shit was going to bore me upon hearing the bassline, but I definitely dug this shit.

But damn... Tayo's horns gave him the vote alone. And then you've got the vocal sample. And even though the break's tired, dude just works with so much in so little time. Great shit, homie.

Equilibrium, i don't think i like intuition at all. The drums are hot but it's too sparse to compete.

Kaeo, you work subtlety very well. the analog synth on the left channel has an ill contrast to the sample work. your drums are very broken beat, down tempo shit. i would listen to this while studying or maybe fucking someone, but it doesn't grab my attention. you know i like your style, even back when we were in that big HHI tournament together.

tayo is fucking sick. oh my god. there is nothing wrong with breaks, kids, nothing at all. everything is so super polished. holy shit, that vocal sample kills. jesus christ. landslide, i think.

i remember being a huge fan of everything tayo put out in the beatmaker's board off hhi, so if someone could yousendit this tayo beat, would be appreciated...or if tayo would be so kind as to put it back up on zebox then holla, then take it down a day or two later, that'd be cool too

p.s. tayo isn't bad on the mic either
