saunders steps on sprinkler
stroman. bunting. fucking bunting
edwin is out for the next week with a sore back. backs don't really heal. ever. they just go into remission.
fuck. already starting the year out fantastically.
He was so sweaty that he kept dripping on my picture, staining it in a few spots.
He looked good. I watched him throw live BP to a few of the starting staff. Not sure if he's MLB ready, but as bad as the Phillies are projected to be, hopefully they won't rush him.
I never know when Utley is leaving. He keeps his Ferarri in the player's parking lot overnight, but I don't what other car he's driving.
Stairs walked right by me last week and I didn't even realize it was him until he was already in his car. Hoping to catch him again and Ben Davis, too.
I've had a pretty good spring with getting Phillies.
to add on, the service time requirements are just crazy. How does the average fan make sense of it? You got some guys being called up in May to add another year, and then Bryant only has to be in the minors two weeks to add a year of service time.
Wow the Dodgers sign Hector Olivera for 62.5 mil, and now have three MLB ready third baseman, arguably four if you don't believe that Seager can stick at SS.
Fucking ridiculous.
And the frontrunner for most retarded statement by an athlete in 2015 goes to Brandon Phillips:
"I don't do that MLB Network on-base percentage (stuff),'' Phillips told USA TODAY Sports. "I think that's messing up baseball. I think people now are just worried about getting paid and worrying about on-base percentage instead of just winning the game.
"That's the new thing now. I feel like all of these stats and all of these geeks upstairs, they're messing up baseball, they're just changing the game. It's all about on-base percentage. If you don't get on base, then you suck. That's basically what they're saying. People don't care about RBI or scoring runs, it's all about getting on base.
"Why we changing the game after all of this time? If we all just took our walks, nobody would be scoring runs. Nobody would be driving anybody in or getting anybody over. How you going to play the game like that? People don't look at doing the things the right way and doing things to help your team win.
"I remember back in the day you hit .230, you suck. Nowadays, you hit .230 with a .400 on-base percentage, you're one of the best players in the game. That's amazing. I've never seen (stuff) like that. Times have changed. It's totally different now.
"But that's just me.
"And I don't give a damn what people think about me.''
I can share the Baseball Prospectus prospect ranking, but not Basball America. Those lists are typically 85% the same players though, sometimes with a different ranking of a few top guys, and a few guys at the back end that are different. Let me know if you're interested
