Basically, Daredevil Season 2 is coming in 2016 with two new show runners. Jessica Jones is launching later year, and Luke Cage in 2016. Iron Fist is still without a date (to my anger).alpha wrote:Stop being a lazy fuck and at least write a sentence about what you're posting

Re: Marvel MCU thread
Daredevil show is legit as Faaaack.
Fighting scenes and ultra violence are like nothing else on TV right now and the acting is almost universally great. I'm only 5 episodes in, but I'll be finishing soon. Really the main dude is the only one I'm not loving as an actor, but he's far from bad. Rosario, D'onofrio, guy from Idle Hands, and the chick from True Blood are all great. It's not on the level of something like True Detective or Fargo obviously, but it's enjoyable as hell to watch...especially when contrasted with the typical comic book fare. It's more serious sure, but it's never over serious/not fun like the Nolan Batman films were at times.

Word to god, Stevenson is the best Pun.
I know we've hit on this before, but War Zone really is the most underrated movie in the whole Marvel canon.
Agree that Bernthal is a decent recast for tv though.

Re: Marvel MCU thread
was there any foreshadowing for Punisher in DD at all? They sketched out some groundwork for the Hand and Iron Fist, but I don't think I noticed anything related to him

Not that I recall, but it could always be tied into some of the dirt Fisk did to dirt Hell's Kitchen that caused him to start punishing.drizzle wrote:was there any foreshadowing for Punisher in DD at all? Re: Marvel MCU thread
that reminds me, did they ever announce the release dates for the other netflix marvel shows?
Re: Marvel MCU thread
The Fantastic Four movie looks absolutely atrocious, and this is the best trailer they've released. It's going to be the typical origin flick, and I pretty much hate everyone except Teller.

Re: Marvel MCU thread
That's actually a fan made trailer.
Re: Marvel MCU thread
guess we're waiting until November then.
Upon further investigation, the descriptions of the trailer in numerous articles tell a different story than the trailer. Excited to see the real thing.

Re: Marvel MCU thread
saw fantastic four. basically totally forgettable and they've already actually killed off the only worthy bad guy the team faced. many retarded lulz if doom ever comes back.
that being said I will say this about the marvel. movies in general: while it's super obvious they are hella rushing this shit into the ground I like the way they are creating and mixing different types of characters
you've got your technocrats, soldiers, espionage people, wisdom people, cosmic people, adventurers, magic shit (hasn't been really explored too much but I expect it will be with Dr strange)
and for the most part they are doing their characters pretty well considering they have obvious types etc

Re: Marvel MCU thread
Lol they kill Doom!?
Re: Marvel MCU thread
doom from the clips i saw seemed to be the most redeemable character of the entire movie.
studios are definitely rushing the shit out of some of these movies. i hope fox will learn from this gaffe and allow the sequel, if there is one after this disaster, to actually have some legs. and a director that can do what he/she wants.
really a shame because at least in this form of media, the thing was actually not cheesy looking.

Re: Marvel MCU thread
this flop would've been better off within the MCU machine, it can absorb that kind of fail while still benefiting from having the characters introduced into the continuity. not even for the main 4, never been a fan, but having Silver Surfer and Galactus would give them so much more shit to do with the space stuff... I know Marvel wanted to use both of those in Guardians somehow

Re: Marvel MCU thread
i think that falls under the same rules as galactus and ss, they're off bounds
might be for the best actually, the shapeshifting buys the MCU an infinite cache of dumbass plot twists and retcon reversals that would muddle the continuity and open the doors for all sorts of desperate moves. some shit like 'OH THE MCU IS LAGGING.... WELL GUESS WHAT? TONY WAS A SKRULL ALL ALONG BOOM BITCH HERE'S YOUR IRON MAN 5' would be inevitable
