Song is dope but Kendrick is starting to make songs that don't have a lot of replay value for me. Even on TBABF, I find myself skipping a bunch of joints. But his songs also seem to really work in the album format, so it works when you say fuck it I'm just gonna throw the Kendrick album on and let it rock of that makes any sense.

felt this moreso on GKMC. on butterfly all the singles work well as standalone tracks, as well as in the sequence of the album. both his albums though i'll usually listen the way through.
this new joint it tuff. love those piano keys. i'm expecting some more mike will and metro on there. last week during mike's AMA i asked if he produced for kendrick's album and he spazzed & smashed the keyboard....
sounds like an early 00s Dre beat that Xzibit rejected because it was too generic. Voice/raps are still as shitty as they are every time I decide to give him another try.

i'd say pick beats and sell records
he's been on some weird shit lately but pretty much every beat on Summertime '06 is flames.
looks like his new project is gonna be a reworking of the prima donna theme with an aquarium metaphor or something. implicit admission that the EP didn't come off like he wanted it to. i thought it was cool tho
This guy loves himself in a way that makes Mindbender's narcissism seem tame by comparison. Increasingly predictable, pedantic, and boring; if this guy's the vanguard, Rap is in a state of peril.

SERIOUSLY FUCKING too.
AT LEAST MY NARCISSISM HAS REASON
this guy has drifted into "B-plus at best" rapping territory on every song now, and since he's got a Grammy he thinks he's invincible.... FUCK NAW DAWG you're not that dope, quit gassing ya self
that tweet about him being Mr Top 1-5 is fucking ridiculously RIDONKULOUS
he's not even Top 10
I prefer Kanye and Drake and even Big Sean over Kendrick, personally

I tend to agree, and this coming from someone who has been a big fan of his work to date. This has me a little pessimistic about the album.....we'll see.
