Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
Timberwolves finally make the playoffs again, so much bad luck to end up at the 8 seed, practically every game they cared about the results for the last 2 weeks went the way that was bad for them, can't see them beating Houston especially since everyone else is the same, the difference between 8 and 3 is nothing this year but 8 and 7 is huge.
Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
My homeboy just bet me that Houston will not make the conference finals under the guise that Paul and Harden are "losers". I think they get there and probably lose to a healthy Warriors team. I feel good about this bet but also think Utah could beat them and fuck it all up.

I mean...I feel like it's a forgone conclusion but this dude legit thinks harden and Paul are incapable of winning important games.
I will say this though, if a healthy rockets team doesn't make it to the conference finals, my boy may have a point. This is their best chance.

He has a point in a sense, but eventually sheer talent will buck the narrative. That more likely than not happens this year.Blockhead wrote:GUCCI CONDOMS wrote:You'll win that bet easyBlockhead wrote:My homeboy just bet me that Houston will not make the conference finals under the guise that Paul and Harden are "losers". My last 3 picks looking possible still. Didn’t see Jrue Holiday breaking out like that but Klay will put him back in his placean-also wrote:agreed on everything except the celtics. No way i see them sweeping. I think i got Milwaukee winning the series.alpha wrote:It’s time!

Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
So, if you're portland, does this absolute destruction by a non-contender make you consider major moves in the off season?
Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
If you read the Ringer there was an article the other day about blowing them up. McCollum is prob the one to go. They need a bigger guard to pair with Dame. Follow the Golden State blueprint.
Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
Yeah. I would assume he goes too. Lillard is their guy...even though Holiday made him look like a total bitch.

This is the article https://www.theringer.com/nba/2018/4/20 ... llum-trade" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Skip down quite a bit if you just wanna see trade ideas. Otherwise it’s kind of like a Zach Lowe type article

Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
man, is this a weird time to say i told my friends that the pelicans would win in 5? I feel like no one would believe me if i told them after the fact....which is fine.
I also thought the jazz would win in 7.
those were the only upsets that i predicted.
i love the games so far. the pacers/cavs series have been unexpectedly good for me. really enjoying oladipo trying to go toe for toe with lebron so far. really love stephenson being a goon. really love that the cavs are imploding all around lebron.

Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
Fun question, what teams would Draymond not be a starter on?
C-Webb said some foolish shit, hence the question.

Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
Any team that relies on the 3/4 for offensive productivity. I love Draymond but I understand where C Webb is coming from, been a GSW for a while and Dray has huge limitations. Put him in the right spot though and he kills it. Dude has been a turnover machine this year though.alpha wrote:Fun question, what teams would Draymond not be a starter on?

Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
Lebron owns us. If we manage not to get swept now would be a big surprise.

GS beats Houston but Curry re-injures knee/ankle and is out, seems like the only path were he can get a title.alpha wrote:He’s been amazing. Still gonna Get swept in the finals
Basically he needs 2015 GS luck and get to play against a team down 2 starters.

Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
lebron is on some next shit. Most of the numbers pointed towards Harden during the regular season but I really felt like Lebron was the MVP based on what I saw.....and he's taken it up a notch from that! Jesus.
Re: 2017 NBA Season Thread
Rockets did their thing. Hope sixers keep winning just so we get more Embiid. His comments after the game were
gtfo with that scary terry shit. Only scary terry is on rick and morty
