No. I didn't really listen to it much at the time if I'm honest. A few spins I think. Instantly forgettable. Pretty much like all of those Kayne X Whoever EPs, aside from If You Know You Know.step one wrote:anyone still listen to Nasir (or any songs off it) on a regular basis?

Re: NASIR
these are Def Jam looseys from Hip Hop Is Dead, Untitled and Life Is Good. I wish it was older material, but it doesn't mean I won't download this shit.

He worked with RZA during that time frame? Don't remember hearing about that over the years.

Re: NASIR
Pleasantly surprised I haven't heard any of these. I'm hyped, but I'll still temper my expectations a bit due to the era(s) these songs are likely from as Gloss mentioned.
Re: NASIR
Odds on 'Adult Film' being one of Nas' weird awkward sex raps?

I hope the songs were cut from the albums because the beats were too good
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly

Yeah, this shit is
Why in God's name would he release that song period, but as the first joint to promote the album?
I know what he did with the AJ nod, but this shit should have stayed lost.

Re: NASIR
listen, if THIS is what him and Peter decided on to be the first single/leak then it tells me they're so still extremely disconnected and Nas is surrounded by horrible white people with poor taste or little ability to convey anything to him. I'll check for the ALC, Pete Rock and RZA tracks, but that's it.

I will go on record without hearing anything that 75% of this album will be worth it.

Re: NASIR
Agree....this track is horrible. Large Pro did mention in an interview (I think it might've been with Vlad TV) that Nas purchased the rights to the reels back for a bunch of sessions the two of them had worked on together. Not sure why none of those appear on this Volume, but Nas does have some old stuff he can release if he wants to....maybe he has other plans for that stuff though (a whole Large Pro + Nas album?)madstadik wrote:Song is cringy. All the good Unreleased Nas stuff of probably in Columbia Records vault and we wont get to hear it. That’s why we get this particular era of Def Jam lost tapes smh

Re: NASIR
Brutal. I’m gonna say he released that song to surprise folks with how great the rest of the album is. He’s weird enough to do something like that. I’m riding with that. Trying to stay positive here.
Re: NASIR
I don't like it but it's not as bad as people are making out and not the worst song ive heard by Nas, or anyone else.
If you were expecting LT2 to be on a par with LT1 or a collection of Illmatic calibre material then I don't know what to tell you.
