i picked up at the speed of life when it dropped, mostly because of tha alkaholiks affiliation and enhanced cd gizmo. i've never really felt that album. i also picked up westside connection that same day, and ended up playing it alot more.
every year or so i try and give at the speed of life another chance, and im still never quite impressed. its a solid album, a definate 3-3.5 mics, but it aint classic. especially considering it dropped in 1996.
the second album, more of the same. its pretty solid, and there are some great tracks, but definately not classic.

'old' tash urinates all over xzhibit imo
as you said tho his guest spots are fire
wow i actually agree with you
lets celebrate
Appreciated.
At the Speed of Life was an incredible album; great production and lyricism at its finest (i.e. "The Foundation," "Paparazzi," "Carry the Weight"). One thing that stops me from calling it "classic" though are the atrocious guest appearances by Hurricane G. Yikes. I find myself fast forwarding her verses basically every time I listen to the handful of songs she's on...

I am a huge fan of both 40 Days and At The Speed...
To me At The Speed is a classic...it sounded like NOTHING coming outta cali at the time.
