Re: The Place Beyond the Pines (Gosling, Cooper)
an electrifying exhilarating dramatic drama with deep voices and serious gestures. and a metallica shirt.

This shit has been out for two weeks and is still only in four theaters. (yes, you read that correctly).
Wider release this Friday, but still probably won't get to us hick motherfuckers for awhile.

Willing to give it a shot despite Eva Mendes never being good in anything.

Re: The Place Beyond the Pines (Gosling, Cooper)
movie takes place over 15 years
probably only has a few bank robbery scenes

Overly long, cliche, and thinks it is much deeper than it really is. There are only a couple of interesting characters, and they are in the first story (out of 3)

she's doing pretty good in the baddest bitch tourney.
Re: The Place Beyond the Pines (Gosling, Cooper)
saw this on sunday. good flick but much much different than expected. not sure how the trailer should have been shot or edited to better capture the movie that this was, but i understand why this went the indie route instead of becoming more of a star vehicle.
thought the performances were all solid, good direction and writing. some of the final act was a bit forced to make the pieces fit but i thought it was decent overall. prob a 7.5/10

This shit was wack. There was about 30 good minutes combined in the two plus hours of movie.

I liked it. A little heavy handed but everyone did a good job. The wigger son was especially fun to watch.
