hadn't thought of many of these groups in awhile........ i grew up around the corner from Hue Lord... and I used to produce Circle of Native Vibes.. never heard of Scrap Jack.. and i was pretty up on b-more hip hop back then.

thanks for the mix, my man.. and including Analyze the Style..

right on, thanks for the feedback and the info! love your ep, especially the 'dope beats always...' track. that one is off the hook.

not sure if you remember, i got the tape cassette from you a year or two ago. were there fewer tapes than lps of your stuff ?

do you happen to know about any of these baltimore/washington acts ?

----

deuce4k - in the neighbourhood (washington dc 1993) ( do you know marco baynes, the producer ? )

DJ Young Guru - (Washington Dc) ( what was the deal with him and guru ?)

dynamix music service- hip hop world (tape)(baltimore 1994) (dangit this is hard to find )

infinite loop - first contact (washington dc 1999)

level 4 (featuring smoove 'aka darryl c)(baltimore 199?)

Little Clayway- (Baltimore) (any singles prior to 2000 ?)

Mahdi Mobb - "who's da mobb" bw "Git yout git high" (washington dc 1994)

Norm Skola - Heat Ep (Baltimore 2002) (seems like alot of us in here like norm skola, but this ep is hard to find)

nuyorican poets - (washington dc 1994)

one man gang - tryin to get over (tape)(maryland 1993)

ray lugar - did he do anything before 1/2 man, 1/2 amazin' (1998) ?

Runaway Slaves ג€“ ג€œBooty Mission" (Baltimore 1992) ( hip hop ? )

Skarr akbar ( what is his earliest release ? )

storm the unpredictable - live freestyles (washington dc 1994) (anyone have these on tape ? even he doesn't)

if you have any of these and would be willing to post some audio i bet we'd all be grateful.

hip hop from baltimore ( and washington dc ) is under the radar so anything you could share with us would probably be new. thanks for the knowledge!

"do you happen to know about any of these baltimore/washington acts?"

yes.. level 4 came out on Jam City i think.. and that is more mid to late '80's than 199?.

Little Clayway-i don't know him directly.. i know his cousin.. he has a myspace page though.. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... d=74786998

Runaway Slaves "booty mission".. are u talking about the b-more club version that came out before the one they did for on the david bowie label Savage? well anyway... Runaway Slaves (well..at least Fla Fla) became Sparrow.. he also used to be a dancer for the Numarx Crew back in the day (DJ Spen (now a world renowned house artist/dj/remixer), Kevin Lyles (yes-the record exec), Studio Moe (who now resides in florida), kool Rod, and junie jam).

the rest of the bmore groups sound familiar.. but i'm far detached from the game now and have no clue.

and i have some joints on tape though.. never released.. khaos and dba, blakswing, mike b, diz one, baby kodad, female mc named Storm.. was supposed to come out on MBR (Marx Bros.. Numarx Kevin Lyles and Studio Moe's label).. remix project... lots of stuff...
