Philaflava's Hall of Fame #11
Philaflava Hall of Fame
Much like they do in sports, we're going to have voting for 5 candidates and the highest vote getter will be inducted. Each poll will contain 5 candidates, some worthy and some not so much. Despite some polls containing more than a few worthy candidates only one will advance per poll. The point is to vote for the one most deserving. There will be some arguments and some insults but the point is to vote for the best in group.
I'll be keeping track of each poll and the end of each year you'll see who we've inducted. The list will be what artists will aspire to be apart. 48 rappers/producers/DJ's will be inducted yearly and you will be the one making it happen.
Inductees:
Round 1: The Bomb Squad
Round 2: RZA
Round 3: Ice-T
Round 4: Kool Keith
Round 5: Masta Ace
Round 6: The Pharcyde
Round 7: Showbiz
Round 8: Kool Herc
Round 9: Large Professor
Round 10: Redman
Round 11: Big Pun

From a musical standpoint, the next 20 years of hip hop are sure to suck even more than the last 10 years or so. I definitely wouldn't blame J-Dilla for that, though.chillhood wrote:naw what does that is the fact of being the source of choice for inspiration for those responsible for the shape of Hip Hop to come for the next 20 years...from a musical standpoint that isMoney Gripp wrote:Word. from a musical standpoint originality and creativity have been at an all-time high in Hip Hop during the last decade if you directed your ears in the right direction. I don't know what you are talking about...Money Gripp wrote:From a musical standpoint, the next 20 years of hip hop are sure to suck even more than the last 10 years or so. I'd like to hear what recent albums and artists you think represent this pinnacle of creativity and originality in hip hop. Seriously. I'm interested.chillhood wrote:from a musical standpoint originality and creativity have been at an all-time high in Hip Hop during the last decade if you directed your ears in the right direction. Big Pun - Great emcee who died too soon. But not enough product to win above Jay Dee.

Del deserves this one.
Yeah Jay Dee died and Big Pun had multis.
But Del does lots of drugs, has multis, and will never die!
On the real, though, whether or not you like his style, Del is a flawless rapper. Perfect flow. Original style. Creative lyrics. And lots and lots of great songs to his credit.
