I believe it's one of their guitarist who quit the band. Dwid was trash talk king, plus dukes would back that shit up. I remember this kid who re-released their first record but was late with their cut. Dude came from Ohio to Florida lookin for his money.Masked Terror #1 wrote:What's the story with the shit talking track at the end of the Integrity album?
Funny, guys from that band went on to be in Filter and Slipknot. Go figger.
Also, that whole Integrity ep will rock your gym experience.

Speaking of which - I need to find and upload the Sick of it All/Born Against debate where Pete Koller threatens to beat the shit out of Born Against.Masked Terror #1 wrote:What's the story with the shit talking track at the end of the Integrity album?
And what bout the DMS vs. Integrity/One Life Crew beef? Lord Ezac basically beat Dwid to within an inch of his life.

I cannot emphasize enough how great this album is. This might be my favorite hardcore/metal record of the mid-90's. I remember copping it on cassette at a record store on LBI. We popped it into the tape deck and when "Vocal Test" came on I think my immediate reaction was . We spent the rest of the day driving up and down the Island blasting this shit with the windows down as rich, whitebread tourists looked on in horror.
IF YOU LIKE HARDCORE OR METAL AND YOU DON'T HAVE THIS RECORD, THEN DOWNLOAD IT NOW. OR JUST KILL YOURSELF.
I saw the ad for this album in a Thrasher magazine with the caption devastating metallic hardcore with a pushead cover so i knew this was my deal. Ive got to say this is actually one of my most listened to albums ever and without fail if someone throws this album on I immediately go into berserker mode and air guitar and air microphone all the words. I love that its such a short album too but even as short as it is its definitely one of the most epic hardcore records ever. Dwid Hellion is a fucking nutcase for real too. Ive heard people who know him say that the man is downright evil or the nicest guy on the planet. Another thing is that this hardcore album had the whole Asylum concept and I still have the little booklet that came with it tyaliing about how there is no more room for salvation in heaven and that earth is just a prison for people transitioning into hell. I could rant about how important this record is for another 20 minutes but I absolutely must recoomend this album to each and all 100%
I saw Integrity live in Memphis once and once only and they started the set with vocal test and it was just as then as the first time I ever heard it.
One of the guitar players in my band is trying to learn the whole of Jagged Visions of My True Destiny so we can cover it on a covers compilation.
in really small letters.
i stole my stage maner from Dwid. 1000 yard stare and all.

I see that everyone here knows all the good hardcore stories. I love the feeling of being in good company.
Ezac is kind of a kook in my book but i dont doubt his gangster.
I though the dude at the end of HITD was a former drummer from some other hardcore band.
I got a really interesting story somewhere about how dwid quit hardcore to become a coke dealin porn star bodyguard. pics and all.

Man, I hated better than a thousand. Ray Cappo's a fag.Masked Terror #1 wrote:Kind of a random first post in this thread from me, but I went back and listened to this album recently and felt like it held up pretty well.
Battery were a 90s hardcore band from DC. They were different from most other bags operating under the hXc banner back then, they were a conscious throwback to the Youth Crew era, i.e. good hardcore.
I discovered them because I was bitching to my friend who worked at Revelation that none of the shit they were putting out had anything to do with the sound the label had been built on. He gave me a copy of Battery's Whatever It Takes, which, funny enough, was their only album on Rev and one of their last.
Maybe anyone who cares already knows about this record, but if you dig that classic sound but have worn out all your YOT, Side By Side and Gorilla Biscuits records, this will feel like a lost gem you forgot about.
Funny that this record is more than 10 years old at this point. Isn't it about time for another Youth Crew revival movement?
These guys also did two similar records around the same time with Ray Cappo of YOT singing under the band name Better Than A Thousand. If anyone wants those, let me know and I'll post them up.

This record came out in 1994 but hearkens back to good old-fashioned hardcore while still sounding modern. This was my shit when it came out. Saw these guys a bunch of times in various VFW halls and they killed it every time.
Ignite featured ex-members of such classic Cali bands as No For An Answer and Unity. They were heavily influenced by Uniform Choice and other classic California hardcore bands when making this record - in fact, the last song is a cover of No For An Answer's "Man Against Man". Check it out.

I'm gonna upload the Integrity pseudo-discography that Victory put out even though the songs are out of order (Victory can't do anything right) which includes Those Who Fear Tomorrow, the Integrity/Mayday split, and the In Contrast of Sin 7".
I'll also upload Systems Overload which contains some of their best songs.

Since we're in a Cleveland state of mind, how about a little Ringworm?
One of the few bands to maintain a "true" hardcore sound throughout the 90s and into the 2000s. Saw them live like 10 years ago and was pretty impressed.
Track List:
01. The Sickness
02. Take Back Whats Ours
03. Birth Is Pain
04. Madness Of War
05. Amputee
06. Dollar Whore
07. Self- Destruct
08. Endless Cycles
09. Again And Again
10. I Can See
11. Wallow
Bugs me when HC album covers aren't big, bold fonts with pictures of the singer screaming/kids moshing on them.
Would also prefer that the only possible topics be the importance of friendship, the sting of betrayal, a call for unity within the scene, calling out those who are poisoning the scene from within, anger at cops/religious leaders/white supremacists and the evils of drugs/alcohol/tobacco/meat.

the melnicks (well at least one of them) are still active in a couple bands. one i can think of off the top of my head is the inmates. dwid still does shit and does integirty with a scab lineup. pretty corny. the shit-talking at the end of the "humanity..." record is actually chubby fresh but from what i understand his words are spliced up to make him say what he's saying. that's why his phrasing sounds pretty weird.
battery suck.
uniform choice better than yot? nikka please.
all the records i put up are good. i'm just trying to put shit up that you guys might've missed out on. it seems like you guys are more into metalcore though but whatever.
