I keep forgetting about that Thursday night thing. I was hoping someone would catch it.
I just re-upped this hot 97 show, need to fill in lot on the track list
What's the deal with this recent Thursday night WKCR isht? Im tuning in early doors this side [2am NY time] and aint nuthin happnin, just some contemporary Rap for the kiddies. Any clues ?
@dirtywaters - Thank you very much sir. I have a HOT97 that I havent transferred as well. Only half a tape, and no Bobb in the studio either but I will get to it.
Just about to check it out now fella, many thanks for the hook-up. No really, hearing them just bug with an audience is a really interesting insight into them as humans, not just radio schlebbs and cultural icons.
Im lovin how they respond to the ulti-nerd cornball questions in these Q&As, and how they react to people askin questions that already got answered in the bloody film. Fingers x'd the GYULP moments are many !
Do they take time out after Q&As to do any quick stopnchats with heads, or do they jet immediately after the things ? I get the sense that Bobb is a little less open to break bread with folk than Stretch is...Understandably, as the Director.
For the first time in years and years, im as excited about seeing a new film, as I used to get when I knew new WKCR shows were on their way to me back in the 90s.
Did any of you lot reach the Harlem screening with Lords Finesse & Jamar recently?
If anyone has the Q&A audio of that, dont hesitate to represent. Thanks in advance.
Was at the screening on Thursday night, the film is super dope, a lot of the classic stuff on there but some gems that I'd not heard either.
Pity the Q&A was pretty short, their responses to some of the dumber questions was mad funny.

Haha, good call. The guy that asked the question in the dark from the back was great.

that was mentioned on Mr Thing's instagram - no one knew but it was suggested it might be one of Stretch's own or something like a 45 King breakbeat
S&B are interviewed on MK & Shortee Blitz's show this week. I'll keep an eye out for the link.

BANOODLES. Thanks again
That's dope. I haven't even listened to it yet either. I just put it to record and put it up to get a jump on. Gonna check it tonight tho.
Top work Hectic/ Prada/ Jesse. Really enjoyed the Juan Epstein, shedloads of info on Stretchs productions etc during the jiggy period. Loved that Bobbito didnt know what Stretch had produced back then too.
#Jignorance
Those clips that the pair are sharing is dope too, good to see THEY upped the Biggie verse before anyone else did. They have been talking about METRICS alot lately.
If anyone has recordings of the Kiss FM show [with MK & Shortee Blitz from last night?] or with Ed Lover on SiriusXM on the Backspin show, dont hes to upload em. Thanks in advance.
