Love BGF, so I'm looking forward to hearing the project, but some of these collabos looked forced and are definitely cut & paste.

Doubt Benny, Spesh, or Hus has even met Ghost. This will be complete shit. Why is Rappaport involved in this at all?

Ghost stays consistent (for the most part), so def gonna be checkin for this when it drops. Feelin the 1st single.....good to see La The Darkman on it. Hate the title though.....made me think it was actually gonna be a compilation of his unreleased joints
agree....gonna expect the worst and hope for the bestPhilaflava wrote:Love BGF, so I'm looking forward to hearing the project, but some of these collabos looked forced and are definitely cut & paste.

don't get the love for Big Ghost tbh, on his best day he's still just a half-decent Alchemist ripoff to me. He's good enough to work with random indie dudes but not much more
the whole existence of this thing is confusing, didn't Ghost air out Big Ghost for using his name back when the dude was just doing blog posts about how gay Drake is? This feels like desperation for a check from one side and a big overreach from the other

M-80 is really the guy who put this together. I don't think GFK or BG reached out to either one. It was more of a curated project from what I gather. 9 tracks, with one being a remix.

^^ I noticed yesterday that this thing had certain similarities to WuTang Meets The Indie Culture, and now that you've mentioned M-80 that really nails the comparison

12 reasons to die are each of the joints on that sad, cynical paycheque project. good beats tho.djfilthyrich wrote: The 12 Reasons to Die album and the Sour Soul album were dope. Stop playin

yeah but it seems alchemist isn't doing much other than working with bronson's camp, curren$y or dj gigs for eminem.drizzle wrote:don't get the love for Big Ghost tbh, on his best day he's still just a half-decent Alchemist ripoff to me.
plus any other variables that haven't made a ghostface alchemist collaboration happen in a while.
big ghost is a great producer since i had no idea he had production chops in the first place.
its different times. it seems only indie dudes cater to sample driven boom bap. He's good enough to work with random indie dudes but not much more
alchemist or not.
same thing as before. no one knew the dude had production abilities then.the whole existence of this thing is confusing, didn't Ghost air out Big Ghost for using his name back when the dude was just doing blog posts about how gay Drake is?
not that it would change the fact that he was imitating ghostface's persona in text format.
but it might as well be two different people: ghost the blogger and ghost the beatmaker.
it'll open up audiences for BGL, and it gets me checking for ghostface regardless how much his last projectsThis feels like desperation for a check from one side and a big overreach from the other
hadn't excited me. hell, he said in his no jumper interview that the R&B album he did was his favorite of his catalog.
that's scary to me.
Re: Ghostface Killah x Big Ghost Ltd. = Oct. 5th
Pretty much all this. Throw in that Ghost's voice sounds all kinds of fucked up on here, idk if it's just the mix or what but not a good look either way.drizzle wrote:don't get the love for Big Ghost tbh, on his best day he's still just a half-decent Alchemist ripoff to me. Big Ghost will probably always be a better blogger than producer, and that will always be the bar for as long as he rides with that name. I mean, he was a legend. No shame in that. However, the Big Ghost Hus Kingpin collab was legitimately dope. Cocaine.
